Youth Health Access and Wellness
NextGen youth health programs will include supporting regional and community initiatives to address youth mental health challenges. Our work in reproductive health education will center on collaboration with schools and parents to provide age-appropriate and culturally sensitive education.
Mental Health Services
NextGen will focus on raising awareness of mental challenges affecting youth and young adults and launching programs to reduce stigma. Together with influential youth in the community, NextGen will launch online and in-person mental health awareness campaigns. The latter will be expanded to include parents, schools, and faith-based institutions. Furthermore, NextGen will curate and avail local mental health resources.
Reproductive Health Education
NextGen will promote comprehensive, age- and culturally-appropriate reproductive health education and tailor it to local needs. The needs and experiences of youth will inform NextGen’s approach to reproductive health education. Youth Participatory Action Research projects will inform our approach and precede program implementation.
